Marly is my Grandson. He’s 6 years old and was diagnosed when he was 3 years and 10 months old. February 28th to be exact. His birthday April 10. To me Marly is my hero and a Diabetes Champion for sure. All the testing, the IV’s the sickness in the beginning all things, I was so very proud of him. In the beginning yes getting 5 needles a day was terrible and heartbreaking to us all. So many glucose tests. Marly is such a trooper and as of today is understanding diabetes. He chooses not to use the pump yet. Juvenile diabetes is such a horrible thing to be dealt and he is handling things well now. Renee and Chris, his parents are Champions too. We are so very proud!
